Start With Your Idea
Tell us what you have in mind in whatever form is easiest.
A verbal description, handwritten notes, photographs, sketches, measurements, architectural plans, inspiration images, or photographs of an existing piece can all be a starting point.
You may love a Bevergarden piece but want a different proportion, need a table for a specific number of chairs, require greater structural capacity, want to reinterpret a family piece, or have seen something elsewhere that inspires a new direction.
You do not need to arrive with a finished design.

Initial Concept & Preliminary Pricing
Once feasibility has been established, the idea begins to take more concrete form.
Coral Comfort presents the proposed direction through a clear description, selected material and finish concepts, upholstery considerations where applicable, and a visual representation of the proposed piece.
At this stage, we also provide a preliminary price indication or expected price range based on the concept as currently defined. This allows the client to decide whether the project remains within the desired scope before entering the detailed development phase.
Depending on the project, the concept presentation may include:

front, side, and perspective visualizations

proposed proportions and design direction
-
material and finish direction
-
upholstery, piping, and fabric concepts
-
visual renderings of the proposed piece
-
visualization within an architectural environment or, where suitable, within photographs of the client’s intended setting
Fabrication drawings, internal construction details, and proprietary manufacturing documentation remain with Bevergarden and are not provided as part of the client presentation.
The purpose of this stage is to give the client a clear understanding of the proposed solution, its appearance, and its expected investment before detailed development begins.

Define the Requirement
We review the idea and ask the questions needed to understand how the piece should function.
This may include dimensions, seating capacity, ergonomics, intended use, architectural surroundings, environmental exposure, preferred materials, finish, upholstery construction, fabric, comfort requirements, or additional structural capacity.
For a dining table, for example, we can help determine the appropriate diameter or length for the desired number of chairs and circulation around the table.
For seating, we may discuss seat width, height, support, cushion construction, or individual ergonomic requirements.

Bespoke Development
If the client wishes to proceed after reviewing the initial concept and preliminary pricing, a Bespoke Development Deposit equal to 20% of the preliminary project price initiates the detailed development phase.
The deposit is credited toward the final bespoke order and becomes non-refundable once project-specific development has begun.
During this phase, Coral Comfort and Bevergarden refine the approved direction in greater detail. Depending on the project, this may include:

confirmed overall dimensions and proportions

relevant functional measurements
-
material and finish specifications
-
upholstery construction, piping, and fabric selections
-
structural adaptations or reinforcement where required
-
updated visualizations of the proposed piece
-
additional review with the client where questions or refinements remain
The client receives the external and functional dimensions necessary to understand and approve the finished piece. Detailed fabrication drawings, internal construction details, and proprietary manufacturing documentation remain with Bevergarden.
If further development reveals that an element of the original concept should be changed for technical, structural, or functional reasons, we discuss the recommended solution with the client before proceeding.
This stage transforms the approved concept into a clearly defined bespoke specification ready for final pricing and approval.

Feasibility & Manufacturer Review
Coral Comfort develops the brief and discusses it directly with Bevergarden.
The workshop evaluates proportions, materials, fabrication, structural requirements, and technical feasibility. This stage may generate additional questions for the client.
Not every initial idea will be technically advisable. If something cannot or should not be built as proposed, we explain why and develop an alternative that preserves the intent while providing a sound solution.
The objective is not simply to say yes. It is to find the right solution.

Final Specification, Price & Approval
Once the bespoke development phase is complete, Coral Comfort prepares the final project specification for the client’s approval.
This includes the agreed design, confirmed overall dimensions, material and finish selections, upholstery and fabric specifications where applicable, relevant structural adaptations, production lead time, delivery arrangements, and the final confirmed price.
The final price reflects the bespoke piece as developed and approved during the previous stages. Any later client-requested changes that affect dimensions, materials, construction, upholstery, or other project requirements may require a revised specification, price, and delivery schedule.
The client then reviews and signs the final bespoke order. The previously paid 20% Bespoke Development Deposit is credited toward the purchase price.
Upon signed approval, the previously paid Bespoke Development Deposit is credited toward the final purchase price, and the remaining balance becomes due before production begins.
Fabrication drawings, internal construction details, and proprietary manufacturing documentation remain with Bevergarden.
Once the final specification is approved and payment is complete, the project is released for production in Germany.

A bespoke project can begin with a Bevergarden piece you would like to modify, a photograph, a sketch, an existing piece of furniture you want to reinterpret, an unusual dimensional requirement, a special upholstery concept, or simply an idea that does not yet exist as a finished product. We review the request with you, develop the concept together with Bevergarden in Germany, and translate it into a technically viable piece designed for your setting, use, and requirements.

Every bespoke piece for the U.S. collection is designed and fabricated in 316L marine-grade stainless steel.

Crafted in Germany. Delivered to You.
Once the final specification has been approved and payment is complete, Bevergarden begins production in Germany.
The piece is fabricated according to the agreed bespoke specification, using 316L marine-grade stainless steel as the material foundation for the U.S. collection.
Coral Comfort coordinates the project through production, import logistics, receiving, upholstery coordination where applicable, and final delivery.
Before delivery, the completed piece is checked against the approved project specification.
Depending on the scope of the project, Coral Comfort also coordinates final placement, white-glove delivery, and any project-specific handover requirements.
The result is not simply a customized version of an existing product. It is a piece developed around a particular person, place, requirement, or idea — then crafted in Germany and delivered as a completed bespoke commission.
Every bespoke commission is developed around the client’s individual requirements. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a bespoke commission does not include exclusive ownership of Bevergarden’s design, engineering, construction, or manufacturing rights.
Design and engineering solutions developed by Bevergarden as part of a bespoke commission may inform or contribute to future Bevergarden developments. Client-specific information and confidential project materials are treated separately and are not used as part of another client project.
Designs, drawings, trademarks, or other intellectual property provided by the client and owned or lawfully controlled by the client remain the client’s property and will not be independently used without authorization.
Where a client wishes a particular design or development to remain exclusive, project or design exclusivity may be considered under a separate written agreement.
